that motor made 1600 hp @ 24 psi and 156? ft lb torque.. street car too....damn thats crazy

yup... i know... i was gonna have my old motor upgraded... at that time he was gonna take the 540 from 875 to 1500hp, for around 12k... plus 1200 for a neal chance converter... im sure its more now:scared:

:laughing: I wish!! That's a 540 that Steve Morris tested 3 different blow through carbs on to see which one made the most power. The test was between CSU, C&S and the Carb Shop.

1st) Carb Shop - 2090hp @ 7500rpm / 1515 @ 6900rpm

2nd) CSU - 2071hp @ 7500rpm / 1497 @ 6900rpm

3rd) C&S - 2057hp @ 7700rpm / 1497 @ 7100rpm
