Q-Jet, Carter, Holley vac sec., Edelbrock.... over 750 need not apply (in fact that is too big)

I must have throw away 20 q-jets in my day because they were "junk"... Now I need one.... Fucking carma...

BTW- anyone have a stock non-cpu HEI laying around... another "throw away" item

That sounds like what I need.... and Smoke I may take you up on that q-jet as well....

Here is the deal....

The 84 Z28 305 HO, that I have, got an attitude problem... The cpu controled q-jet seems to be "fucked up"... Living in IL gives us the option to say "no" to the cpu/emissions and for that fact the car is 25 yrs old... You know an antique....

If it isn't the carb it is the HEI... I'm leaning towards a fuel issue....

I have a few older square bores laying in the garage.... obviously need rebuilt but I believe they are in the 600cfm range.
