Zoop's Wild Wicked Wheelstand from NMRA Florida

To everyone who has been asking for a video of Zoop Zellonis's absolutely crazy bumper-dragging wheelstand from the NMRA Nitto Tire Spring Ford Nationals in Bradenton Last Weekend -- here ya' go on NMRA TV.

http://www.nmraracing.com/bradenton06/mediaTv.php?file=8

All four tires of the car actually left the ground and Zoop showed incredible driving!

That was some killer driving there! Great job to keep his head and get the car stopped with minimal damage.

I don't really see any sence in the no wheelie bar rule in these classes....

I bet that just cost that guy 5k or more and he almost saved it.....

Nothing cool about it.....

We all remeber this guy didn't get as lucky.....

First of all I understand what you are saying about the rules and the wheelie bars,,,,,,but no one is forcing these guys to race in these classes.. If the racers are bothered by this classes rules well than they should boycott the class........and in personal opinion that was  If they had a problem w/the class they WOULD NOT run in it.

Your right no one is forcing them to race the classes, I'll give you that...

On the same hand show me a heads-up class for all of these cars that allow wheelie bars (except US 41 and that is only with a weight adder).....

I guess some people have too much money....

I am sure you love when cars are unable to go down the track, be it an oil down from a wheelstand or a car hitting the wall....

Damn.......someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Hey excuse me for saying that I like something that you don't. Just because you like keeping your car on the ground doesn't mean that eveyone likes that!!!! How often do you see oil downs because of a wheelie, but than again you don't have to do a wheelie to have that happen. That you couldv'e kept to yourself. I love drag racing period I don't like oil downs or cars hitting the wall. Never have never will. Don't get me wrong George we cool people and all, but somethings need not be said and if they are said maybe there should a different way of saying them.

Ok so I woke up on the wrong side of the bed..... I have done the bumper thing and it does do A LOT of damage, I got the headers, oilpan, front shocks, and I bent something in the car that I never could figure out (never went straight again)..... There were many oil downs (for that fact many cars found the wall) due to wheelstands in Memphis for the NMCA finals last year.... I can not understand why they will not let people run bars in these classes..... Even if they put a height limit on them..... I dunno.... I didn't mean to mess with you personally... I guess after re-reading it it seems that way... I apoligize (how ever you spell it)....

I have the answer to your question! :yup:
A: FANS!
Fans = Money
At the expense of the race. :yup:
I love seeing wheelstand, but I don't want my X to lift the wheels too high, because my stock suspension can't handle the the load on the drop. But some people set up there cars for wheelies. I guess if you're gonna do wheelstands, it would be wise to spend the extra money/thought setting your front end :yup:

 That's a good one! ........ ......... My car can carry the fronts to the tree, on motor, not saying that it's a big deal (especially from a car as slow as mine). BUT ........ ......... Yours barely did on a 200 shot!
But if that's what you're looking for, I wish ya luck! :yup:

I guess when I was younger and had more patience I though the on the bumper all 4 wheels off the ground thing was cool (until I did it).... Now days I am not good with dealing with the 40+ mins of track clean-up it takes to mop all of the Oil, and in some case trans fluid that is left on the track (seen it in Memphis).... You guys enjoy... That why we all have our own opinions....

Edit- I need to quit typing shit at 1/4 to 5 in the morning..... Looked like I typed it in Spanish
