So, most of the parts came from Lem but a local shop put it all together. It's set up with a 200 shot but i don't think I will ever use that the way this thing sounds!!!!!!!

Just make a race where both cars sit the same and you will see some of the best grudge racing you have ever seen I promise you that.

We went through a time in our life where we threw a lot of small blocks in the garbage can after they ate up rings or threw rods.... Thus my reason for a big block in my shit....

My El Camino ran about the same with a 406 as it did the 482.... But the car would spit the little motors out... The BBC lasted 10 years....

the advantages you speak of, really apply moreso if you are racing more than one race or back to back racing, i.e. class racing or the infamous, bracket racing... most money races and grudge races are "1 shot, 1 kill" deals, so although you do have to spray a small block harder, it can still conceivably make just as much power juice ta juice... heck, tom has a small block for sale that rivals many big blocks in power output, and dwarfs many others... power adders are the great equalizers... its just way more expensive to make a small block last trying to make it run like a big block... just my 2cents (if its even worth that:cry: )

I was building a fun bb car to drive on the street,and rasn into this car rolling for 6k.Couldnt pass it up and figured later I would want to go faster and the car would take it:yup: So I put my street mtr in it and had fun:yup: Its not the fastest big tire car but its very low maintenance and its FUN.The motor is nothing special its the 514 crate mtr that sells from ford racing.Straight out the box the car ran a 10:10 @134 mph with 93octane and too big of a gear.I changed the cam had the heads done and now it runs in the 9's on 93 octane.I dont get on here and try to hustle anyone,just like to see good races.So if anyone wants to line em up with their prostock bb lets do it,because next year the car is gonna be a little different;)

how does anybody know what is inside your motor? do you beleive me when i say i have a mild sb? hell no you dont so how can you think that i would beleive what you say for a second. first thing when it comes to grudge racing is dont beleive anything you hear cause its all bullshit. you have to make a educated guess on what you think the other car can do and go from there. im sorry if you have the slowest bb on earth, but it dont matter cause i know what they can do. and about the class thing it just backs up my point. big blocks can make more power so they need to add weight to make it fair. im not saying we need to scale cars before the race but nobody here is dumb enough to beleive that a sb and bb should be on the same field. i got a 8.2 deck sbf and a 9.5 deck sbf ford is outta my league. i can only get 360inches out of my motor and a 9.5 i can get 420in easy and it makes a huge difference. just think if i can get 200more cubes like i could with a bb and the cylinder heads move more air so you cant say cubic inch dont matter.

yeah i seen that toms motor for sale i was telling a buddy about it. but how many sb do you see run what his does, not many. there are a few exceptions to this. but its more likely to see a bb under the hood of a nitrous car this fast. why is there no sbf nitrous cars in the nmra anymore? they are all bbf. cause you cant hit a sb hard enough and stay togheter. its just too hard and cost to much to run them that hard and be consistent

Best on h/p was a 9.69 @ 140 (that was with a 4.30 gear)... Short time on motor was 1.304 (Spray 1.49)... With the changes I am making I'll be lucky if it runs 10.50 on motor... Fucking car is going to have a hernia when I leave...

have you ever seen the bbf run in sso? if you do it right it will run. there are some bbf that holbrook racing builds that make serious power. he makes big power with sbf too, darren mags motor made 1075 with a single carb. but it also cost 50-60k. he can get bbf 1300-1400hp without hemi style heads.

oh god here we go, pete if you build it right aint no sbf going to hang with a bbf period. cubes rule and thats proven. you cant expect stock shit to do anything, i will say most people are not up to speed when building a bbf, but if done correctly it can make big hp and torque. i have seen fox mustangs with 466 with mild dove heads run mid nines on nuts and those heads are nothing special. ford has features bbc wish they did in stock form = stock ford is taller than a tall deck chevy,way bigger bore, symetrical port heads,beefy block,erica ortiz ran 6.90s in the quarter with a factory block and a cast crank!! easy to build a stroker all block will take a 4.500 stroke with no mods, some blocks can be bored to 4.500, way better valve angle than a bbc, in a stroker combo you have over 14.1 compression with a flat top piston= killer flame travel great for nitrous, ill stop now small block=big mistake

have you ever seen the bbf run in sso? if you do it right it will run. there are some bbf that holbrook racing builds that make serious power. he makes big power with sbf too, darren mags motor made 1075 with a single carb. but it also cost 50-60k. he can get bbf 1300-1400hp without hemi style heads.i did not say in my statement that bbf dont make power, cause they do and this i know by experience, my motor ran a 10.03 and it had the old style cobra jet heads on it with no porting just a 5 angle valve job and bowl blending, w/ a flat top it had 13.5-1 compression, i believe i could have got in the high 9's with it on hp. i just dont like them and am going back to a sbf:yup: i still say the bbf are a ticking time bomb, lets see one make 3 seasons with no freshen ups without pucking it's guts on the track and maybe then you could prove me wrong, until then...it's SBF for me:cool: oh yeah....this is just my .02 and not meant to bash anyone:cool:
