I was browsing thru some olg magazines today and came across the PHR with the chaos story in it. I never realized that Steve Blue's car was drum brakes until today. I have never seen this car personally run that I can remember but it looks like a good ride. What would you say the cutoff line for et and drum brakes would be? I was going to switch my car over but now this has me thinking

If you have the money to swap to disc, do so. It really depends on your speed. After going through the traps if I leave the car in gear I can stop easy at 134 MPH. Now if I take it out of gear its a hard time stopping. I haven't swapped to disc yet due to cost, like $1500 bucks. But I wish I could, for the stopping and the weight .

The thing is I have quite a few other things to purchase yet and adding power discs actually would be adding about 35 pounds to the car over the drums acoording to repair manual. Think I will just try the drums out sooner or later I will plow enough corn to stop me:scared:
