well as many know i have been around alot of mustangs, but i never paid attention to where most people install a push/pull switch for turning power on and off, so i am asking does any one have any ideas and possibly any pictures, also, the proper way to hook up the power to it, cause i have noticed a couple different ways to hook up and the two different ways i seen it hooked up, they both cut power, but one way only cuts power at idle, but when the rpm's are raised to around 2,000rpm's it doesn't shut off!
pics or diagrams would be a big help
thanx

Being that it is a Mustang I don't think you will need one....
In order to turn it off it would first need to run....
I would need to explain it in person, as some have pointed out my knowlege of the english language is poor to say the least... it isn't that hard.... Now where to put the switch.... That you are on your own for...

OLD STYLE :bug:
for my cut off switch.i just drilled(to fit thru bolt hole) the bottom pass. side corner of my license plate(street car).
its kind of better than drilling thru the taillight and keeps the car streetable.
mines not the push pull style but the idea still works.nice, clean install.
hope this help

The disconnect should be installed between the Battery and all your other accessories. But remember the alternator wire should be installed at the battery. :yup: Worked for me. :D

thanx ken, i have the factory wiring for the alternator, which also is connected to the solenoid, but the question is....does the wire coming from the battery(the"+") go to one side of the switch and the "+" then come off the other side of the switch and go up front to the solenoid? is this the correct (and legal) way of doing it?
i also already have the push/pull rod to connect to a flaming river on/off switch and want to use it....so i really need some pics if possible about where to mount this:yup:
thanx again:yup:

If the alt wire is going to the starter, that means the alt. will keep the car running. You have to connect all power souces on the backside of the disconnect. :yup:
Think of it as, removing the terminal from your battery. as long as the alt is working, the car will run. :yup:

good point there...hmmmm i may have to get a one wire alternator then:smack: and scrap the factory wiring....which all is gone except the alternator wires and lights

if you know where it is you can also just splice the switch into your ignition wires, then the car thinks someone turned the key off.
