Outlaw Stock Suspension race

There is going to be a Outlaw Stock Suspension race August 4th and 5th at Byron dragway, Byron, IL The event will be run clocks off. Test and Tune on Saturday with eliminations on Sunday. $100 entry for weekend.

The rules for this will be pretty close to the GLD true street rules currently used. Keep in mind that this an outlaw type of race so some of the rules are a bit more liberal.
-max tire size is 30x10.5 for slicks(no "W" tires) and a 325 drag radial.
-unlimited cubic inch displacement and engine configurations.
-N/A, nitrous, turbo, and supercharged combos will be allowed.
-no limitations on stages of nitrous, turbo or supercharger sizes.
-weights are as follows; 2,800lbs N/A SB, 3,100lbs N/A BB, 3,200lbs Nitrous SB, 3,400 Nitrous BB, 3,500lbs supercharged and turbo combos.
-all cylinder heads allowed.
-NO WHEELIE BARS ALLOWED
-must have stock frame rails.
-stock replacement item must be in stock locations.

The payout for the event will be detemined by the amount of entries. So the more cars we have the more we will pay out. It is not required that you make a pass on saturday to be eligible for sundays eliminations. All teched and legal entries will be elegible to compete in eleminations. There will be a blind draw to determine qualifying field. Draw will take place on sunday before eliminations. entry will be $100, and will cover both days. Shannon you may want to check the dates over because in August 5,6 is Blk Sunday up in Byron. AUGUST

WOW that is gonna be one big ass turn out. How did this come about? I just wanted to know. Last year was the 1st.year for Blk Sunday at Byron and it was cool as hell, but I would be assuming that this year will be off the chain. With it being SS class I know we will be there.

This years show is going to be off the chain. Their will be a Top Dog shootout (promods, etc..), the Outlaw SuperStocks will be there, There will be a motorcycle club shootout, unlimited grudge racing, a custom car and bike show, all that in addition to the Outlaw Stock Suspension class. This years race will definitely be huge. There aree agoing to be cars from across the country showing up. We have cars and bikes from Michigan, Alabama, Tennessee, Arkansas, Mississippi, Missouri, and Indiana to name a few places committed to attending the race. Also, I have been contacted by a few people regarding the Outlaw Stock Suspension class, and it seems their are people out there who are under the impression that "Black Sunday" is only for Black People. Not True! Just ask the white guy who took the money home last year in the bracket class. Everyone is welcome to come out and race or show their cars and bikes, and have a good time. If you could spread the word to people that anyone is welcome that would be appreciated. Also, for those who do not know, a majority of the money raises by this event is donated to local charities and youth groups. So whatever support we can get is greatly appreciated.

-no one will be allowed in the timing tower during Outlaw runs.
