Portable Dyno and Raw DVD at SCC!!!!

Just thought I would all let you know that we will have our portable mustang dyno with 1/4 mile simulation at SCC this friday.

It will be 4 pulls for $70
You can do HP/TQ Pulls or 1/4 mile All print outs will be for the customer only and any at any time we can turn the monitor off for your convience.

We will be right up front in the pits so please visit us for sign up info.

Also the Raw Racing DVD will be available!

HP from MPH (1/4 mile) = WEIGHT * (MPH/234)^3

HP from ET (1/4 mile) = WEIGHT * (5.825/ET)^3

Take it for what it is worth but..... A dyno can not measure what induction flow is doing at (lets just say) 120 mph or the effect G force will have on crankcase windage (yes oil flow)... Don't get me wrong a dyno is an excellent starting point, but you never really know till you go to the track.... Don't worry about me I'll be in another state... but Dennis on the other hand..............

If you don't like it, don't use it. I think it's a neat idea. If my car were ready, I would drive it up on that dyno, sounds kinda fun just to see what the numbers are. There should be some T-shirts or something given out to the highest HP recorded for different engine combos.

I have seen them in use at NMCA races.....

The Dyno seems to work good for people that are struggeling to find a problem at a race that does not offer TNT time... It would have been nice to have one in Bowling Green as there was not much track time to be had.... I'll admit I had a need for one....

Never did I say I didn't like it.... I have had my Vette on one trying to straighten out the fuel curve... That is an excellent reason for a dyno as it is hard to read a cpu while rolling down the 1320....

The point was isn't the dragstrip like a dyno.... I believe the answer is Yes, you can get a lot of information off knowing how to read your ET slip.....

You must of used a Dynojet then which doesnt take into correction for Wind Drag and all the other load seen at Higher Speeds. Our Dyno is a loaded dyno which is optimal for tuning. Thats why they call it "Real Street Driving Simulation" .
