that does help a lot, thanks for making it so detailed. does anyone have a pic of a net mounted, with the support bars running horizontally instead of vertical like tuff guy posted? is either way track legal?

Either way is legal. To mount it horiz., you need a heim at both ends that are solid on TG2's truck, and a cable to limit the amount of rise on the lower support and a buckle on the top support.

tuff guy once again very helpfull, still a little lost on the front left corner cable thing, could i just weld a tab on there instead and have it be a fixed joint.

scj514 if you could get those id be very appreciated.

what do you guys think of this idea i drew up with a diagonal net.

i drew a slip loop thing that way when im street driving the car i can just lower the net completely.

Your window net must be inside the roll cage. This window net is outside the bars. "If your car flips over and the door comes off the window net will be exposed to the pavemant and could be ripped off" this is a direct quote from the Tech department at RT 66 last year at Super Chevy about my car. They made me move it before they would pass my car. Just trying to save you some work and any tech problems.

Hey SCJ514,
 .......................... I may be wrong, BUT the net should be installed on the inside of the cage. I had my lower rod on the outside, an a tech @ Rt66 pulled out the book on me, But I wasn't running into the 9's so he couldn't stop me from racing.

My Bad!!!

I was just going to go there....

Window nets suck, mine bugs the shit out of me, not as bad as the El Camino was but my arm still sits against it...

TG2 yours is the way to go..... Mine is more like SCJ's but on the inside....

BTW- make sure it doesn't slide on the mount bars or they will bitch about that as well....
